"The best is yet to come"

Francis Adetokunbo, known under the stage name "Ofili" is the only brother of the "Antetokounbros" who was not born and raised up in Greece, but in Nigeria. He is also the only brother who is not a basketballer but an artist. He lives permanently in Athens since 2018 producing music professionally.

He contributes to “Andromeda” as the main brand ambassador and by promoting the Nigerian cultural heritage and philosophy. In his song “Obago” (=”I belong”), which is also part of the film music of the Disney+ movie “Rise” about “The Greek Freak’s”–success story, he addresses the issue of (multi-)cultural identities and group boundaries. Francis and his family represent a positive narrative and a role model especially for first and second generation of emigrants in Europe.

Francis „Ofili“ Adetokunbo is the eldest brother of the Antetokounbros – and the only one who is not doing sports, but art (music/video). He masters three languages and cultures (Igbo, Yoruba, English) and is currently learning Greek. Dr. Lilia Diamantopoulou is professor for Modern Greek Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich working on Black History in Greece. She is bilingual (Greek and German) and defines herself not as half (Greek) and half (German) but double.

The founders of Andromeda got to know each other through the project “More than one revolution” in the frame of “Black Greece Matters”; the project was proposed for the Impact of Diversity Awards in 2021. As an outcome, a song was produced and a book with the same title is going to be published in Winter 2022. In April 2022 both organized a live concert with Afrogreek music in Munich.
